Airport South station is an At-grade metro station on the Reach 1 of the Nagpur Metro located at the vantage point off the NH-44-Wardha Road and along the flight path to Nagpur City.

The juxtaposition of the State-of-art Convention Center (PEB structure) with a Metro station (RCC structure) is the key distinct departure from conventional station prototypes.

Merging functions of the metro station and a public space with innovative approach to circulation and compact planning, the design narrative rethinks the traditional foot print of a metro station.

Designed as a Green Building with optimum glass to solid ratio, the design utilizes the form of the sweeping curve, imparting an aesthetic sense of fluidity in motion. The angular roof houses solar panels in the north south orientation maximizing solar power efficiency. The north light truss and skylights, the perforated fins and strategically planned louvers and skylights improve the natural ventilation and sunlight, thus breathing in vibrancy to this station plaza.
